Support Your Local Railroad Museum
Early giving is here! It isn’t too soon to support your favorite Railroad Museum
North Texas Giving Day is officially September 17, 2020. But, you can give now and help assure the Museum’s future during these difficult times.
We are grateful to once again be a part of North Texas Giving Day, but this year is especially important to all non-profits, including the Museum of the American Railroad. A large percentage of our operating funds are generated through special events, public programs including general visitation, school field trips, and retail sales. But since the onset of Covid-19 in mid-March, the Museum’s revenues from operations have been a fraction of what they were in previous years.
Now six months into the pandemic, we face real challenges and difficult choices in the not-too-distant future. This is your opportunity to help provide an essential bridge for us to make it to the other side of the pandemic intact.
"The history of our nation and the railroad are inseparable. They literally grew up together. The story of the railroad is a fascinating account of how human and machine knit a vast nation together into connected communities."
Here is a partial list of the important services we provide and their benefits to North Texas.
· An essential educational resource for area schools
· A cultural destination in Frisco
· An economic engine through tourism
· Exploring new technologies for future transportation solutions
· Custodian of national treasures through preservation & conservation
· A place where families can make priceless memories
Your gift is tax-deductible and will make a positive difference in our community
In the midst of uncertainty, we can rely on the strength of one another. Doing our part individually helps our collective. Let’s be there for each other!
