The Museum of the American Railroad has received a generous technology grant from the Junior League of Collin County. The grant will allow the Museum to purchase equipment to better serve students and general visitors with special needs.

“The generous grant from the Junior League of Collin County allows us to better serve special needs groups within the North Texas community that would not otherwise benefit fully from our educational programming. This opens a new world of possibilities in sharing our collection and communication objectives,” said Kellie Murphy, the Museum’s Chief Operating Officer.

Through cultural arts, immersive STEM programming, community events, and outreach, the Museum of the American Railroad plays an essential role in Texas education, acts as a conduit between students and careers in the rail industry, and exists as a major cultural tourism destination in North Texas.

As a non-profit organization, the Museum relies on the generous gifts of foundations, businesses, and individuals to serve North Texas students and general visitors.
